Thank you, BI-LO!

"We are thankful, once again, for the generous ongoing support of BI-LO Charities," said Executive Director Lucy Bush Carter.  Carter picked up the poster-sized check above on Wednesday at a ceremony for recipient nonprofits, held this year at Acosta Sales & Marketing's Charlotte office off Yorkmont Road.

"For all the years I can recall," Carter said, "we have received a portion of the proceeds that their annual BI-LO Charity Classic golf tournament raises. It is this type of corporate commitment supporting the work of agencies like ours in communities throughout North and South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee that creates the healthy network of care for the most vulnerable citizens among us."
