One of the goals of the Friendship Gardens initiative was to create a greener disposal system for the non-meat food scraps from the meals-on-wheels kitchen. Above, Henry Owen has his truck full of frozen scraps that will go to the Camp Greene prison garden. "They will be composted and help build farm fertility," says the garden coordinator.
