Teens Serve | Friendship Trays | Charlotte Meals On Wheels

People in the crowd who gathered Monday night under the big tent at Friendship Trays had been volunteers for the meals-on-wheels programs for as little as a few weeks – and as long as 25 years or more. The annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner honors those who give a combined thousands of hours each year so that their ailing and homebound neighbors can have a reliable source of nutritious food each weekday. As part of the dinner, volunteers who have supported Friendship Trays for 5, 10, 15, 25 and 30 years were honored and given small tokens of appreciation.
