McGuire Nuclear Station employee support

Tarenna Griffin, center, presented Friendship Trays Executive Director Lucy Bush Carter, left, with a $3,000 donation while Volunteer Coordinator Lani Lawrence looks on. Griffin represented the more than 1,200 employees of the McGuire Nuclear Station who helped raise the money. Station SIte Vice President Regis Repko wrote, "Throughout the year, several work groups host on-site fundraisers (ice cream, candy and other items) to raise money for United Way and community service agencies in our area. We hope these funds will provide some financial relief to your organization and help you to continue to provide the services that are so desperately needed by many of neighbors. Thank you for being a beacon of hope for those you serve. We appreciate all you do for this community." Carter pointed out that the donation would pay to prepare and deliver nutritious meals to three needy recipients for about a year.
