Shop for holidays, support Friendship Trays at same time

Joseph-Beth Booksellers at SouthPark mall will again this year hold a Book Fair that will benefit Friendship Trays.

This year's event is Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

This is not a discount program. Instead, on most sales all day that are accompanied by a book fair voucher, Joseph-Beth will donate 20% of the purchase amount to Friendship Trays. Some inventory is excluded and purchases paid with gift certificates are not covered. All the details are on the voucher.

And customers must go to the store armed with the voucher. Clerks at the checkout counter will not have the vouchers.

So click on the small picture of the voucher at right to download the voucher and print it out. Copies are also be available at the Friendship Trays lobby at 2401-A Distribution St. in South End.

And Joseph-Beth has another way that customers can support Friendship Trays during the book fair on Nov. 14.

Purchases at the in-store Bronte Bistro & Wine Bar are covered by another voucher offer.

Print out the Bronte voucher by clicking on the picture at right and take it with you on Nov. 14. For purchases accompanied by a voucher, Joseph-Beth will donate back to Friendship Trays 10% of the purchase price at Bronte.

Friendship Trays staff and volunteers will be in the store off and on during the day. Come by and say hello as you shop. We'd love to see you. And thank you for all the ways you support Friendship Trays and its mission of providing nutritious food to those  in our community who are unable to prepare their own meals.

If you have any questions about the Book Fair, call Volunteer Coordinator Lani Lawrence at 704-333-9229. Or e-mail her right now.
