Earth Fare, Friendship Trays Rock Out Hunger

Earth Fare and Friendship Trays teamed up tonight for a "Rock Out Hunger" fund-raiser to benefit Friendship Trays.

Fans and passersby gathered at both the SouthPark and Ballantyne Earth Fare locations to buy dollar burgers and beer, to socialize and to listen to live bands.

"Earth Fare is a great community partner, and Chris Clackum's twin grandsons may be the cutest on the planet!" said Friendship Trays Executive Director Lucy Bush Carter. "The spirit of goodwill and sense of 'community' seemed to pervade the entire evening!

"The music was energizing and we got a terrific opportunity to spread the word about our mission and need for volunteers. We are most thankful to the Earth Fare staff at both locations.

"We are thankful for the musicians who donated their time and talents. And thanks to all the volunteers who helped with grilling and other tasks. They were indispensible. They rocked!"
