A beautiful gift that supports hunger agencies

This cookbook has won the highest of compliments among area cooks: They cook out of it.

And Friendship Trays has adapted recipes from the year-old publication for use in the meals-on-wheels program that serves more than 700 recipients each day in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.

"Inspired Cooking" was published by First Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. Proceeds from the sale of each cookbook are donated to area agencies fighting hunger, including Friendship Trays.

The 280-page book includes more than 300 recipes, with photography by Lark Elliott and artwork by Susan Daul. The cookbook costs $29.95 if ordered online or by mail, $25 if purchased in person at the church or at Friendship Trays.  Checks should be made payable to First Presbyterian Church. The book is also available at some area bookstores listed on the inspiredcooking.org website.
