The Frendship Trays lobby was jammed Tuesday morning as Team Vanguard Group returned to drive routes. After receiving instructions, meals and beverages, the group left in pairs to deliver routes across Charlotte. Drivers deliver meals. But just as important to many recipients who live alone, drivers bring a warm greeting from a community big-hearted enough to look after its most vulnerable residents. Volunteer hours from Vanguard Group, scores of other workplace groups, and a thousand or more individuals make this meals-on-wheels possible.
