Meal deliveries Friday were not delayed by Thursday afternoon's shutoff of electricity to Friendship Trays. Duke Power scheduled the 2 p.m. shutoff to replace a pole off Distribution Street. The pole, standing near the iconic cups stacked atop the Dilworth Coffee House distribution center, carried the weight of a large transformer and the lines crossing the street to the Friendship Trays building. Power was restored about 7:40 p.m.
