Burgess, Roberts deliver Friendship Trays to mark national event

In the video below left is Charlotte Mayor Pro Tem Susan Burgess. Burgess has driven routes for decades, and has a seasoned view of what Friendship Trays is about, its value to the community and why volunteers keep coming back to be a part of this service to their neighbors.
In the video below right is Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners Chairman Jennifer Roberts. Roberts was driving a route for the first time. So she brought to the task a set of fresh eyes. She was struck by how good the food smelled and how accurate the directions were as she navigated to recipients' homes. She comments in the video on the value of the work done throughout the community by many volunteer organizations, including Friendship Trays.
