Land a strike for Friendship Trays
All are welcome to join area Realtors at the Realtor Challenge
Bowl-a-thon on Wednesday, April 2, at AMF Centennial Lanes at 4501
South Blvd., just toward town from the intersection of South Boulevard
and Woodlawn Road. For map,
Realtor groups are fielding teams, and Friendship Trays would love to
sign up other work groups and individuals to play for a good cause.
A portion of the proceeds from the $30-per-player price will go to
support Friendship Trays, your area meals-on-wheels program delivering
more than 775 meals daily to the community's ailing, infirm and
homebound neighbors.
The per-player fee includes two bowling games, bowling shoe rental,
snacks to include potato chips and dip, pretzels, popcorn, tortilla
chips and salsa, and unlimited soft drinks. Other food and beverage can
be purchased on site by players.
There are several ways to sign up to play on April 2:
-- Call in your registration information to volunteer
coordinator Lani Lawrence at 704-333-9229. Did we say Lani was volunteer
coordinator? She can immediately also help find you a delivery route
that you can drive on a weekly, monthly or other basis, either by
yourself, with a friend or on a rotating basis as part of your workplace
team.
-- E-mail your information in to us in the form below. To get started,
place your cursor in the first box. Thereafter, use the tab key to move to
subsequent boxes. At the end, you'll find a "Submit by e-mail"
button to click when you're ready to register by e-mail.

Street facility. And while you're there, look around: About 100
volunteers and a small paid staff work a minor miracle every day as
nutritious meals are cooked, packaged according to each recipient's
dietary needs, then delivered by drivers who bring a smile and a keen
eye for the health and well-being of recipients. For loved ones who live
far away, knowing that someone is seeing their family member each day
brings a lot of reassurance. We'd love for you to be a part of this
community effort.
