Recycle
our trays!
From 1976 to 2004, Friendship Trays used aluminum trays, and we
collected washed-out trays for recycling for many years.
Conversion to Oliver paper trays brought many benefits, but initially we
were unable to afford a recyclable tray -- although the paper was
biodegradable.
But recent price increases for paper trays prompted a switch to the
black plastic tray shown at right. Food looks better in the black tray. And
the plastic is recyclable!
So recipieints: Help us go green by washing out trays and dropping them
in your recycling bin.
And volunteers: Tell the recipients you serve about how they may recycle
their trays and help Friendship Trays go green!
