Joseph-Beth plans Book Fair to benefit Friendship Trays

Joseph-Beth Booksellers will host a Book Fair in January to benefit Charlotte-Mecklenburg's primary meals-on-wheels program.

Twenty percent of the proceeds from most purchases during the three-hour Book Fair on Jan. 13 will be donated to Friendship Trays.

The Book Fair will be from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13 at the SouthPark store, 4345 Barclay Downs Drive.

Joseph-Beth will also donate 10% of sales at the in-store Bronte Bistro between the hours of 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Book Fair day. Purchases must be from the regular menu.

To qualify a purchase for the donation program, shoppers must present to the cashier a Joseph-Beth voucher, pictured at right. Copies of the vouchers are available at Friendship Trays' Distribution Street office. They may be printed from this Web site by clicking on the picture at right. A limited number of vouchers will be available at the Joseph-Beth store in advance of the Book Fair.

Customers unable to attend the Jan. 13 Book Fair may pre-order books and have the sale rung up during the Jan. 13 book fair. Friendship Trays volunteers will pick those books up from Joseph-Beth on the afternoon of the book fair, then hold them for later pick-up at the Friendship Trays office.

To pre-order books, call the SouthPark store at 704-602-9800. Be sure to tell the clerk to ring up the purchase during the Jan. 13 Friendship Trays Book Fair. Store hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Have an unusual book title you are looking for? E-mail Lani Lawrence as soon as possible so Joseph-Beth can have it waiting for you to purchase during the book fair.
