Help us get this man to donate!
Your gift received by April 30 will boost our share of a $1 million giveaway from Alan Feinstein.
Alan who? you might ask.
Former public school teacher and financial columnist, Rhode Island booster and, since 1996, full-time philanthropist, Alan Feinstein's pet project is fighting hunger.
This is his 10th annual $1 million challenge. Last year, more than 1,560 agencies took part. They raised $159.3 million, and received shares of the $1 million ranging from $64 to $51,823. More than $18,400 went to hunger-fighting agencies in North Carolina.
Says Feinstein, "Tell your donors that this makes them partners in the greatest grassroots effort ever to fight hunger.... All that will matter to us someday is what we did while we were here to help those who needed us."
To count, donations must be in our hands by April 30. We must postmark a list of all March and April donations by May 9.
Our address: 2401-A Distribution St., Charlotte, NC 28203.
