BISTRO! BISTRO! BISTRO!

It's a gourmet lunch that you don't want to miss.

The Feb. 8 Bistro, hosted by students and staff of the Community Culinary School of Charlotte,  drew about 50 people.

The School trains the chronically unemployed and underemployed for jobs in the food service industry. The School and Friendship Trays collaborate not only by sharing a kitchen and building: Students learn industrial food service through being key players every day in the preparation of Friendship Trays.

Bistros are every other Thursday at 1 p.m. during class sessions. They show off the students' culinary skills. Donations at each Bistro help support the School's operations.
