It was Oct. 4, 1976 and a handful of volunteers delivered six meals to elderly residents who could not leave their homes in the Elizabeth neighborhood.
Friendship Trays is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit governed by a
board of directors.
Volunteers are the core of the Friendship Trays organization, but they are supported by kitchen and office staff as well as a handful of part-time drivers to ensure full coverage of the open routes each day.
